Ibadan City Academy Old Students’ Association (Global)

The Ibadan City Academy Old Students’ Association (Global), popularly known as ICAOSA Global, is the umbrella body that brings together all alumni of Ibadan City Academy, Ibadan, across the world.

ICAOSA Global was established to foster unity, strengthen relationships among old students, and serve as a coordinated platform through which alumni contribute meaningfully to the continuous growth and development of their alma mater.

With branches across Nigeria and in the diaspora, ICAOSA Global remains committed to preserving the rich heritage of Ibadan City Academy while promoting excellence, service, and lifelong fellowship among its members.

Our Heritage

Ibadan City Academy was founded on 6th February 1946 by Late Chief Timothy Lajide Oyesina, a distinguished educationist and philanthropist. The school was established to provide a blend of commercial, academic, moral, and civic education, at a time when such opportunities were limited in Ibadan.

Over the decades, the school has grown from a modest institution into one of the oldest and most respected secondary schools in Ibadan and Nigeria, producing graduates who have excelled in diverse professions locally and internationally.

ICAOSA Global stands as a continuation of this legacy—uniting generations of alumni in service to the school and society.

Our Purpose

The primary purpose of ICAOSA Global is to:

  • Unite all former students of Ibadan City Academy worldwide

  • Promote friendship, cooperation, and mutual support among members

  • Contribute to the academic, infrastructural, and moral development of the school

  • Preserve the values, traditions, and reputation of Ibadan City Academy

  • Serve as a bridge between alumni, current students, and school management
